THE SPACE

Nichol Road Hideaway at Annie’s Retreat by Tiny Away is perched on a hilltop in the small town of Allans Flat, sitting 300 meters above sea level and offering stunning views of Mount Buffalo and the Baranduda Ranges. This charming tiny house is surrounded by farms, green pastures, pistachio orchards, and our own Angus cattle. The private area of the farm is registered with Indigo Shire under Park Licence No. 942. A nearby farm shed and water tank add to the seclusion, ensuring complete privacy for our guests. While the retreat offers peaceful solitude, it also serves as the perfect base for outdoor adventure. Just an hour’s drive away, you’ll find breathtaking hiking spots such as Mount Hotham, Falls Creek, King Valley, and the Alpine National Park. This 139-square foot tiny home features easy water access, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, BBQ fire-pit, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be advised that there may be some noise from farm animals, such as cows, our dog, and local bird life, particularly magpies, during your stay. Visitors are kindly requested to exercise discretion near herb garden and the fire pit when near the house.

GUEST ACCESS

Guests can access the tiny home and the entirety of the 10-acre sculptured garden. However, it is important to note that the farmhouse, herb garden, vineyard sheds, and event center shed are restricted areas and are not accessible to guests. In addition, please advise that there may be ther guests on the property (main farmhouse) and access to the pastures and orchards is strictly restricted unless accompanied by a host.

It’s also only 25 minutes from both Beechworth and Albury. Within an hour’s drive, you can explore the Victorian Highlands, including Falls Creek and Mount Hotham. Other nearby attractions include Yackandandah's mountain bike tracks, the King Valley, renowned for its world-class wines, and stunning scenery, and the Alpine National Park, a haven for outdoor enthusiasts offering mountain biking, horseback riding, and wildflower trails. Feeling hungry? Head to Yackandandah Hotel (also known as the Bottom Pub) or the Star Hotel for hearty, classic meals.
